An insectoid clicking noise being used for echo location. I used this for a monster our party faced in ballad of the seven dice. This was done by foley work i was doing. I modified my voice with numerous effects in audacity to change the pitches as well as increase the speed of it.

This is an audio recording of brood x cicadas from a tree in my yard recorded on june 1, 2021 in northern virginia. Please note there is a mail truck that you can hear at around the 1:40 mark and some neighborhood workers speaking at 2:05 with a nail gun at 3:33. Birds come in at 2:40 and the cicadas really begin to crescendo at 3:14.

The recording was made on a tascam dr-44wl @ 24bit 48khz and then the distance freeway and other noise was attempted to be removed using rx spectral de-noise. The files have then been normalised.
