This sound is a collection of noises intended to respresent: a blind person's cane, someone trying to crack a safe and a person searching for something - such as in a store room. It was recorded using a shure sm58 and a marantz digital hard drive recorder.

My first posted sound effect, this is something made on my synthesizer for fun this morning that i think people could get use out of for horror videos and such, as the sound kind of reminds me of a spider or some kind of creature not unlike one scuttling across a wooden floor.

Using a contact mic placed onto the lid of a large plastic trash container to record the rain as it hits the lid. 96khz 24bit/mcontact mic.

Weird sound made with garageband.

A simple slap on the body or face. Recorded on h5 with a sennheisser mke600 mic.

This sound is made using the op-x synthesis with some added reverb.

A fidgety drum and bass loop with a cowbell, a bunch of claps, shakers and tambourines, arranged in fl studio, run through fl studio's gross beat plugin, which was set to 1/2 speed slow, and this is what the original and the processed drumloop sound like combined.

A short and simple tapping riff. All guitar tracks were recorded with an ibanez rg7321 plugged directly into an m-audio fast track pro. I used cubase as my daw and plugins by tse audio and lepou for overdrive and amp simulation, respectively, some stock cubase plugins (eq, compression, delay, etc. ) and some drum hits were added using superior drummer.

Since i have been lowing low on things to record i have been starting to record while i'm at school and it is working. The good thing is know one will know i am recording because i am using my audacity recorder on my laptop. I hope you enjoy my newest sounds.

Faux-synthesized "welcome" spoken by midnight furie demaurisha. (yes, it's her real name. ). Midnight says, "welcome". Processed to sound like a disembodied machine. First word spoken by midnight at the start of one of her guided visualzations. Recorded at shabby road studio in caerphilly, wales. Source audio is clean. This sample has been coloured with a multi-tap delay.

Varied hits on materials in my basement - cardboard boxes, a treadmill, wooden table, etc. . . Most of the sounds from this pack were extracted from a recording of me striking said objects with my palm. Because of proximity effect, i found some of these to be useful for the sound of an object hitting the ground.

To make these sounds, i hit my knuckles onto a thin sheet of metal on a bookshelf. The last sound on the recording was also made by dropping a coin onto the same spot on the shelf. If you use this in a project that gets released online or elsewhere, please comment and let me know about it! :).

A recording of sounds using an air duster. Recorded using my h4n zoom recorder, i captured the sprays of wind, the sizzle sound after the duster in used, the tapping of the metal container, and the flicking rumble of the straw. Sound is in stereo, and is in. Wav format.

First is damped thick glass, second is undamped thick glass, third is double-glazed window pane. I've encountered fantasicly squeaky screws when putting together an mdf cabinet. The screws were driven with a scredriver into pre-puchend holes in an mdf panel. Recorded with zoom h1 at 96khz / 24-bit. Converted to flac using sox. No processing or editing was performed for maximum flexibility nad retaiging highest quality. Also out of laziness. Enjoy!.

Checked-in to a hotel in raleigh, north carolina with my wife to catch a flight early the next morning out of rdu. Suddenly, a storm rolled in to the area and, since we were going to bed anyway, i placed my zoomh4npro (120 degree setting) on the air conditioning unit below the window. Drum: pearl sensitone steel 14" x 5. 5". Head: genera dry. Mic configuration: mono room, two overheads [spaced pair], batter head, reso head. I did basic eq cuts and boosts with some compression. No limiting used. Each articulation was carefully played and gain adjusted to seem as natural as possible. My goal was to also create a multi sampled snare drum that could be drag and dropped into a sampler with ease. The app was developed to interrogate whether cats could be entertained with a phone app. The recording features torn and crumpled paper, little noises we use to attract our cat, casio.
