A stereo field recording of hundreds of several species of frogs at spring in raleigh, nc. Recorded at a very large concrete stormwater retention pond. The tall concrete walls made a nice effect acoustically. There are a few other faint sounds such as my dog walking around, a bit of wind and a car door as the pond was next to a parking garage. But, the frogs definitely dominate. I recorded this with an olympus ls-11.

Lots of bangs, bongs, clangs and you-name-it-whats. Yesternight our theatrical trouppe had been disassembling the set; main part of it is a huge, multi-ton construction consisting of several dozens (or hundreds?) steel tubes - it looks like erecting scaffolding, but much more steady. Disassembling it is a chore even if you have 25+ people around. I have recorded the later stage: clanging tubes are dragged to the hoister in order to be brought down to the ground level and loaded into a truck. Speech is cut off (hopefully all of it). In broekhuizen, near arcen, lies the old ferry named grubbenvorst, dying on the river maas. It has been replaced by a newer one. The old one lies rotting away some hundred metres away from its old trajectory. Moderately flowing stream - jack creek in central oregon's cascade mountains flows out of the ground at the base of three fingered jack mountain. The water comes from a glacier on the mountain a couple of miles from where multiple springs create the large creek bubbling up from the dry ground.
