The rumbling roar of an approaching freight train then the whistle and passing cars. Some good screeching from the metal. The train passes and fades. Recorded pretty close but with trees in between.

5 individual sounds created for a cyclops monster in a project that was cancelled before any real sound design could begin. This sound was created by recording various vocal noises and importing them into pro tools. Each vocal take was then pitch shifted down by -24 semitones and duplicated into 4-5 layers. These layers were processed individually using techniques such as reverse reverb, distortion and eq to emphasise different aspects of the creature's roar. The final sound is a result of all these layers playing simultaneously.

This is a short sample from a noise track i just completed. It sounds a lot like someone screaming/roaring into a microphone, but it's actually a roland juno-6 played through various fx pedals (boss metal zone, boss xtortion, boss me-30 on ring mod setting, danelectro fish & chips, and a sprinkling of various other fx pedals throughout the recording). Something i threw together for a personal project i was working on. I couldn't find any high quality samples of a dragon so i decided to make my own. This was created using ableton and contains the following sounds:a dog growlinga lion roara horse gruntingan elephant vocalisinga flamethrower sound. All sounds used were obtained from royalty free websites and manipulated using software so that the original samples are not identifiable. The combining, layering and processing of the sounds were all done by myself within my daw. I hope those of you who find this are able to make great use of it. I generated this sound for a scene of a short video in which a zombie attacks my friend. It's a loud burst of roars and snarls, altered using audacity. I recorded myself doing my best zombie voice, then i lowered the pitch, boosted the bass, and added a phaser to make it more wet and added some feedback. I hope you find it useful!.
