This is an artificial lifeform. The sound of a worm striving to be free in a hostile ambient. Done for video game sound design , sine tones pitched up and down randomically , then ran through a max granular patch.

This is another loop i made with some software i'm cooking up for unity (to allow users to make short loops like this and embed them in their games without necessarily rendering them to wav/mp3's first). I generated a square tone with audacity and applied a few effects to it, mostly wahwah i think, and faded in and out. It's the same as "machine. Wav" that i've uploaded, but louder. If you repeat it, it makes a very believable sound for an old video game machine.

For fast firing lasers, honestly it's better to use nonquick versions of my laser beam sounds as the sound when quick is too abrupt.
