I've been creating background sound effects for a haunted house i work at. I've used sounds from this site to create a lot of them but, since this is 100% original i thought i'd give back. . . Created using an sm58 microphone, protools 9, a bathroom sink, and my voice. . .

I've been recording bath water flowing out in a controlled way. This produced lots of interesing sounds. Captured with a zoom h2.

This was recorded on a poor on laptop microphone, and was supposed to be an applause track, but the microphone quality and the fact that we layered ten clapping noises all over each other combined to make this.

Miked at 3-4" distance. Outdoor setting; lazy water flow coming out of deep cement pipe under bridge. H4 zoom recorder.

I manipulated some sound from a squeaky pallet jack i recorded. Add some drip and you got a scene.

This was water running slowly into the sewer from a pipe. It had a great natural echo.

I recorded hot-water-heating pipes crackling and then looped the sample at progressively faster & harmonically relevant speeds. This recording was made at a canal when it was reasonably dry. The canal has a road running parallel to it and above it. The side of that road has a largish (30cm?) pipe that drains water into the canal. I made this recording by holding my zoom h5 portable recorder in this pipe, and recording with the inbuilt stereo pair of microphones. You can hear the traffic passing above with the zoom of the occasional fast truck, but it's muted and it's echoing around the pipe. There's a hollow rumble running through the whole track. I made the recording in august (spring) of 2021 in brunswick west, australia.

That's created with the idea for something magical to fly off ground.

This is a recording of a rock that i dropped into an abandoned titan missile silo air vent.

A sound i made in audacity, basicly a chirp going down from about 500 hz to 20 hz (with a fade-out to limit subwoofer use)and added some ambience by using white noise rumble on the background, also added a slight wah-wah as you might notice. Feel free to use it in a project as long as you give 'olaf gillot' credit. And of course 'freesound. Org' for having such an awesome website, with free hosting stuff :d!.

This is my first noise i've ever uploaded, so any tips to improve this or any future sounds are welcome. The original sound came from a subway car screeching to a halt and it was edited with audacity and adobe premiere. Enjoy!.
