My squeaky wooden floor sound. Useful for horror effects or boat simulation. Equipment that is used: zoom h5 recorder + audio-technica bp4025 microfoon.

Christmas day 2007 in ramsgate harbour. The weather was cold and misty with a bit of wind. The result is an eerie sound as the wind rattles the rigging of the yachts, enhanced by a couple of birds flying across the harbour making mournful squawks.

Lazily rowing a boat, recorded with focus on the creaking rowlocks, but distinct splashing sound as the oar dips into the water. Recorded on zoom h2.

Big boat horn.

These are the ambient sounds of a sailboat underway. You hear the sounds of wind-filled sails, the tugs on line, and boat parts movement as the boat is moving through the water under a steady wind. You can hear when the boat changes direction from being close hauled to more down wind. The zoom h4n digital recorder was used in collecting this sound. Enjoy.

Bow wave of a ~8m sailing boat in calm water, distant micing. No sounds from the sail (could just as well be a motor boat depending on what you layer the sound with ;) ). This recording is a 96khz recording with a contact microphone attached to the steel cable that connects the mast to the deck, in a small whale research boat in the island of dominica.

A boat with a rough motor.

A partially down dead tree caught on another tree, branches rubbing together in the wind. I put my phone on the tree so the phone would catch the vibration as well as the sound. Could be used for a sailboat/ropes creaking as well. Samsung s9 - voice memo - m4a - audacity - trim/amplify - wav.

A long echoing foghorn sound, made by blowing into a 10-foot-long pvc pipe in a fairly big, empty room. This is the best of the foghorn sounds i recorded. I think it sounds surprising like a real foghorn in the distance. Nice long reverb/decay after the main sound is over.
