A low, loud, ominous bell ringing sound. Actually, i just decreased the speed of a small service bell ringing, but it's surprisingly convincing!.

Rode nt4 mic with a rycote wind muff on (slight attenuation of the higher frequencies is noticeable to my ears) sitting on a chair under an awning on my porch. I hit record slightly too late to catch the first couple of bell rings, but got most of it. First we hear the church signal 8pm, then we hear the courthouse do the same thing. Also some wind in the trees right above the mic, some rain, a bit of thunder, and some cars in a small town. Also a huge truck with loud engine that sounds almost like thunder towards the end, in fact it was mixed with thunder at one moment. Captured with maudio delta1010lt soundcard.

You can hear people in the park next to york minster chatting, walking, laughing and there's distant city noises. Then, around halfway through the recording the bells start to ring out for midday. There are unsurprisingly 12 bongs :). Olympus ls-12, internal capsules, deadcat21-08-04_115738_york_minster_midday_bells_ls-12. Wav.

At the end the public becomes quiet. Recorded so that it's not clear what language the people talk (high position of the mic, +3. 5m). Useful as general noise track for film and video. Recorded in grote kerk, kerkstraat 20, in 's-hertogenbosch hollandrode nt4 > sony pcm d50 recorded. No editing. Public domain. Long recording (30 minutes): http://www. Freesound. I had this idea yesterday i think, to record a set of chords in vocal with the lords name. This is the chord progression::. 1st. F g# c = f minor. 2nd. D f a# = i'm calling this a d minor augmented. This is really a bflat major chord, but since i started it with a 'd', i'm calling in a d minor augmented ; ) someone's gottago for it. 3rd. G# c d# = g# major. 4th. F a c = f major. Please enjoy and comment, if you use it in anything i would just like to know, but please feel free to use this anywhere. Thanks, god bless.

This recording was made with an iphone 4s fitted with a tascam condenser stereo microphone in an asian restaurant in bern. We hear the sound of the restaurant with people eating and chatting while the open kitchen is busy washing and preparing dishes. One of the bus boys is singing to himself, which can be heard dimly and at some point a bell strikes a few times.

Bells ring to mark the start of evening mass at notre-dame cathedral (notre dame de paris) in paris, france on christmas day in 2011. The first bell heard is the largest, the "emmanuel" bourdon bell, which weighs 13 tons. After 90 seconds or so, the other bells in the north tower start to ring as well. After several minutes of continuous ringing, the bells are allowed to slowly stop ringing. A few soft clicking noises right at the start of the recording come from me adjusting the recording level (which i couldn't do until the bells started to ring). Mp3 from 96 khz / 24-bit / stereorecorded with zoom h4n built-in mics hand-held, about 100 feet southwest of the south tower (the one with the big bell).
