A reproduction of the opening electric guitar riff from marius constant's twilight zone theme (used in season 2 and later). I obtained some info about this arrangement from reading bill wrobel's film score rundown website, which has a detailed description of both the bernard herrmann and marius constant twilight zone themes. I played this into logic pro using the "classic clean" guitar sound. One guitar is playing bb bb bb bb and the other guitar is playing g# a g# e (repeated).

I recorded the acoustic guitar with audacity, then added the fx with reaper. It is named 5pm because that was the time when i recorded it. In reaper i made 3 tracks of the same recording and added different fx to each one:track 1 contained reverb and flange with adjusted tempo. Track 2 contained a pitch delay doubler. Track 3 contained a resonant lowpass filter - low quality.

A small bassline created with my new rocktile ebass. I used the (free) safe plugins compressor and equalizer by semanticaudio for the effect part. I used audacity to merge the parts. Recorded with wavosaur. There are small pops at the transition from no fx to fx and at the end of the fx part, just cut them away with some audio software. I didn't listen to it before uploading. A guitar through defective self-modulating delay. The time potentiometer went "bad" after years of hard twisting and abuse, and now it warbles and pitch-shifts on it's own. It's very temperamental, though. The pedal is a johnson "ead-2 analog echo delay". May be useful for an outro or something! let me know if you use it, i'd love to hear the results!.
