Ambient sound akin to the bridge of a starship. Muted background hum with an overtone of air conditioning ducts. Pseudo-random high pitched blips occupy the soundstage. Could be used as an ambient sound loop for hi-tech / science fiction interiors such as a laboratory, a control room, or the bridge of a spacecraft. Created with two instances of flstudio 3x osc. One kicking out a pair of sinewaves plus noise for the background susurus (hum) and ventilation sound. Second 3x osc is set to produce two interfereing square waves for the blips, squeaks and buzzes. The background was notch filtered and bandpassed to mellow out the humming sound and reduce hiss. The blips were processed with flstudio equo, stereo enhance, fruity delay2 and fl pan-o-matic vst. Each blip was pasted by hand in a seemingly random but not too unpleasant pattern.

Set computer volume level at normal. Using headphones or your speakers, play each tone, gradually decreasing the volume until you cannot detect it. Note the volume setting (i know, this isn't easy if you don't have a graduated control, but you can make some arbitrary levels using whatever indicator you have on your os). Repeat with next tone. Sounds like the jaws theme song bass sound. These sounds are actually an xm with a changed file extension to. Wav, and then loaded into a wav editor which converted it to a readable format. I then removed the unbelievable noise to see what i ended up with. After that, i cut out the parts that sort of sounded cool and these are some of the ones i am willing to let everyone have.

A remix of freesound 252834 and 17804. I took 252834 and course quantized it in goldwave, then lowered the volume and mixed it with some of the static from 17804. Then i played the mix through my computer speakers and recorded it with my webcam to immitate the cheesy fake apparatus used by the ghost hunters tv series and the like.

I was just messing around in audacity, like i usually do all the time. I made a corrupt audio file, and i found this extremely weird sound. I got rid of all the white noise, which made it sound even weirder, then i slowed it down and got this sound. You can use this however you want. I'm not sure what it's even meant for, like something being activated, robot beeping, etc. Enjoy. :).

I was fooling around with audacity and created this neat little sound. I have no clue how to lower the volume, and really, i mean it: this thing is loud. I keep my volume at 10% and i couldn't even listen to this thing with my headphones. I have tried to lower the volume (so that it doesn't hurt the ears) but to no avail. If you by chance know how (in audacity) then feel free to tell me in the comments and i'll re-upload a non-deafening version. If you use it i don't mind at all, though i am curious, if you do use it, what you'll use it for. Either way, i don't mind, but i'm curious by nature.

Picture yourself being abducted by a highly advanced alien race, you're trapped inside one of their crafts, being far far away from earth at this point, i guess this is a soundscape that reminds me of it, created by experimenting with various free plugins including dtblkfx and thesis2b, both amazing tools on their own, more than capable of giving you glitchy squelchy hi-tech sounds.

I decided to bring my wind chimes inside and recorded them with an mxl 910 microphone into my computer using a focusrite scarlett 18i20 interface with the gain turned up a bit. I then chopped 15 samples i liked from the entire recording and formatted them into a make noise morphagene reel containing 15 splices. I am very pleased with the results, especially when patched into clouds or using an eventide space pedal for example. Enjoy!.

I wanted to make a very gentle wakeup alarm for my android phone. It's a 25-minute long fade in of a pure 3-khz tone. Created with audacity. I encoded this to ogg vorbis for personal use, but i'm sure you can do this better for yourself (maybe you'll prefer other format), so here you have a quality flac file for source.

Dybby am chord made on modular synth. The 3 voice oscillator mfb osc-03 is tuned to an am chord (saw tooth wave) (tuned by ear. . . ). The sound is going to an uoki-toki polivoks filter in band pass mode and to a vca. From vca to zoom ms-70cdr tape echo effect and back to modular and into the ladik r-330 reverb. From reverb to mixer and out module to computer and audacity. And to you :-).

Whenever i use my usb stick, my computer always makes an awful noise. I decided to record it and see if any of you guys can make anything out of it. To me it sounds like some sort of aliens or robots talking to each other. The only editing done was noise removal to get rid of the fuzziness and amplification to make it a little bit louder. Recording of noise produced by unplugged microphone jack on my computer. Weird whistle sound moving from 6. 5 khz to 15 khz randomly with pink noise on background. Removed dc part of the sound and normalised with audacity. Sound was cut to make it loopable. Glitch sfx #1. Modify/use however you want. I made this by playing a couple sine waves on different notes, then i added a fruity waveshaper to add harmonics whenever one of the sine waves clips, then filtered out the original sine waves, leaving you with the distorted harmonics you have here. Made with fl studio 12, massive, waveshaper, and edison. If you use this in anything, please put it in the comments, me and other people may want to check it out!.
