Shot in the bunk of a motorboat at night in the rain. The rain rushes, the ropes creak, the boat hits the jetty once.

This is a very interesting sound to make. Luckely i knew exactly how to make this sound. I used leather jacket. I twisted the jacket back and forth moving it in front of the mic. A flush toilet where you have to pull on a rope.

This is the helvetia paddle steamer boat of cgn fleet. It was moored to be renovate and repaired. Little waves make the boat pitch and the big metal rope linking the boat to the quay is producing these nice metallic noises. 48khz schoeps.

Whole process of taking out a cello from its synthetic sheath (a lot of rustling resulting from this) and then manipulating it, adjusting its leg. Mic: schoeps c-mit 5.

Now this sfx is my pride and joy. I acted quickly to get materials to work together to make this sound. I pulled a rope through the belt-eyes of some short pants, which would be the ropes releasing from the bag. Then i fluttered the pants to sound asif wind and the parachute material was colliding, making the sound so much more convincing.

Recorded in watchet harbour in somerset, uk, a few hours before a huge storm hit the little town. The wind is whistling through the rigging on the masts of the boats in the harbour, producing an eerie whine. Recorded with an sennheiser me-66. Mono.

I basically recorded myself hitting my keyboard in my studio and then sped up the recordings.

Sound of a large, long, mooring rope fastened to a large cleat, holding a ferry boat at a dock on san francisco bay. Recorded with a sony mz-rh1 mini disc and unmodified panasonic wm-61 electret condenser microphone capsules.

A mix of sounds to create a hanging with drop, rope tightening, scream and swinging. Recorded on sharp mini disc with sony ecm-907 mic.

All i did is that i recorded and played a little riff on my violin with my ipad, and then add some reverb, and delay effects in audacity. (very eerie-like, but pretty). This kind of reverb used in the beginning and end of the riff is a cathedral room-like sound, and a few seconds of delay. I used mostly double-stops during the riff. Enjoy.

Foley recording of a goose-neck reading lamp lamp (you can bend it into any position and it will stay that way) mounted to a bed in a hotel room. Features a lot of groaning, clicking, bending, stretching, etc. Could be used for rope torsion sfx, pitched down for metal stress / strain / fatigue, clicking elements could be used for creature sounds.
