I accidentally came up with this sound when i was remixing one of my favorite songs on audacity. It sounds like a whole bunch of computer software and techy stuff sparking, beeping and crackling. Would be great for a movie introduction if it was overlayed with soundtrack. This is experimental so i would appreciate if you play with it and send it back to me; that's the point of creative commons, right? please comment and rate.

Just a stereo recording of the crackling fireplace outside my house burning wood. There were fireworks being set off by neighbors in the background if you listen closely so my apologies for that. Recorded with a zoom h4n.

The soundscape includes sounds of various birds, the wind, constant traffic in the background, industrial clanking noises and some people talking in the distance. Recorded with a zoom h1.

Recorded this in the attic of a old building with a wood construction during a storm. Lots of wood crackling and wind whistles without any direct wind in the microphones. Zoom h1 and mastered with supreme analog gear.

Cello played with the bow on the bridge and with muted strings (by the left hand) / variations in bow pressure and partials of the strings (sul ponticello) / crackling rosin / recorded at very close distance with zoom h4n build in microphones.

Turning a page in a book: this sound has crackling sound when the page turns. Recorded using the zoomh4n and the rode ntg1 condenser shotgun microphone. No processing has been done to this sound. The book used was math textbook.

Zoom h4, sony mdr7509, wavelab 5 editing for better rendering (eq, hpf, compression, stereo). Subtle spatialized details of crackling ice in my freezer to produce a very organic feeling sound.

Outdoor fireplace with a fire burning. Recorded with sony pcm-m10 on tripod (no windscreen), placed on the ground about 1-2 feet directly in front of the fire. Includes some city background noise such as car passing by near the end.

Electromagnetic signal emanations from the power supply of a landline phone. Recorded with a small pickup coil using a tascam dr-05x.

Inside a freezer. The door is open and the ice melts produce thin cracks. The cooling circuit make sounds too. Finally i close the door (fade out). Really cold.

I recorded the subtle crackling sound beer foam makes after you pour it into the glass. I needed an old record player sound so i improvised. I was pretty pleased with the result.

A real mosquito trapped inside a plastic bag, flying around. Sometimes you can hear the bag crackling because i had to poke it so the mosquito would fly. Recorded with a tascam dr-40 at mexico city.

A digitally restored version of Crystal Palace Handel Festival of 1888-06-29, recorded by Col. George Gouraud on Edison's yellow paraffin cylinder. Over 2000 pops and crackles were removed to bring out more of the original recording.

Noises that i made with a synth. They pretty dry sounding didn't add much to them just basic eq with a low cut and sometimes different shapes to shape them a bit. Thats it just some "raw noises".

In an attempt to add warmth to my productions, i sampled some of the more distinctive sounds mostly from the lead-ins and lead-outs from dirty/scratched records. If shortened, they make for interesting _analog_ glitch noises.

This is based on a drum loop using one from the famous dubstep samples then uising a dblue glitch fx.
