My first posted sound effect, this is something made on my synthesizer for fun this morning that i think people could get use out of for horror videos and such, as the sound kind of reminds me of a spider or some kind of creature not unlike one scuttling across a wooden floor.

Made this eerie ambient noise on total accident while working on another project. I think it sounds like something off in the distance in a dark forest. . .

Various layers of things scraping to create a visceral sound bed that evokes creepy crawly things. Created using various wire brushes slowly scraping against different surfaces.

Here is a recording i made of a pig at hackney city farm. It was recorded about 4 years ago on a zoom h2. Unfortunately there are some people in the background but there are also some clean grunts and breathing. Enjoy!.

The amrican robin is a common bird to the united states, and while the robin does live elsewhere there are small variations that make this bird unique.

Another recording of my cat trying to get my attention. I couldn't get rid of all the room ambience, but i got the mic as close as i could without max eating it. Lol. Recorded with: sanken cs-1e, fostex fr2le.

Finally uploaded a new sound on here after over a million years. Just decided to mess around with audacity and i made this abomination. You can go ahead and use it in any projects; i really don't care.

I made a weird sound with my voice, stretched it out in every direction, and looped it to make a cool noise that could be used as the ambient music for a part of a game where there are either giant robots roaming around, or are scary-as-hell creatures.

Sound of a very large Grasshopper flying by a recording device. Great for insect sound effects. This sound was recorded at Yosemite National Park in CA.

Autumn bird life at the beach on sweden's southern east coast. Many ducks in the water and some crows in the trees some other creatures :). Used equipment'srecorder zoom f4microphones two line-audio´s cm3software wavelab.

Experimented with some gargle sounds. Might work well with monsters or zombies. Cut these samples up and use them however you like!.

This is a crow picked up by dreamtalk recorder, a brilliant app for iphone/ipad/android. It was early hours in the morning and it was outside my window. I have had to amplify the file quite a lot to make it easier to hear. I thought it sounded fed up in its tone, i've not heard one exactly like this before.

I have been hearing an animal or two beneath my bathtub for some time now. Today i discovered who it was. Leaving my apartment building this afternoon, i saw a cat sized racoon carrying her baby under the walkway. I went back inside and set up a microphone aimed at the floor by my bathtub. Methodology: shure sm58 into focusrite and recorded via ableton. Noise removed in audacity. I have a horrendous ground loop situation. In the future i may try to mic from below the apartment so that it isn't so muffled by the floor. Some noise comes from how much i had to amplify the signal to make it heard.

A very simple experiment i made for fun, using kinda low quality processed recordings. I tried to create some kind of alien soundscape vaguely inspired by half-life xen, especially the black mesa version.

Simulated wing flaps of a bird or other creature created by waving a heavy bath towel and then speeding it up and adding a bit of eq. Recorded with a sterling audio st51 condenser mic. Terryfying sounds, like screaming monsters - this was made from a recording of sunny the budgie singing, slowed and reversed and gverb added to make it sinisterrecorded with a tascam dr07 mk2 and processed with audacity.

Kittens: the screeching of 3 week old kittens is very distinct. Real kittens can be heard here. It is high-pitched and a “close-up” of these sounds coming from these tiny creatures. By overlapping some of the screeching it creates the illusion of more kittens. A slight purr can be heard which comes from the mother. Recorded with the zoom h6, rode ntg.
