Summer storm in switzerland 2018.

I started recording a vinyl lp into my computer before realising that i hadn’t set the anti-skate properly and the needle was stuck in the lead-in groove. I trimmed this bit of snap crackle n’ pop and kept it in the hope that it might be useful for me or anyone else. Have fun.

Recording of some new year's celebrations in vienna. Captured using a clippy stereo em172 microphone and a zoom h5 handheld recorder. I positioned the microphone capsules outside the window on the left and right and then gently (almost) closed it. I setup the recorder and rolled the whole evening. This bit was around the apex of the celebrations in that part of town. Sadly some clipping occured, but i chose to upload the unaltered file. So no post-processing has been applied. Cut in ocenaudio. Rainy car ride.

Field recording in rural serbia. Mid afternoon in august. Voices in the distance fade away, a light wind in the trees. Stereo shotgun mic on a boom pole, 2m50 up in the air. 48k/16 bitrecorded in 2010.

This ambience was recorded on zoom h6 with msh-6 mid-side stereo mic capsule. Recording was edited and decoded. Mic was positioned right in a frame of an open window so that it won't get flood from a heavy rain and pick up much room reflections. My flat where i recorded from was on 4th floor. There was a busy street 50m far from the apartment building itself, a bit further there was a park. Rain at that night was heavy. Also you can hear several heavy thunder hits of various distance throughout the whole recording. Hope this recording will help to enhance the sound of your next project. So, in the process of rendering a mono version. . . I decided to tinker. There's high & low pass filtering as well as a 4 band eq applied. Seems to have significantly reduced the noise. I also forced zero crossings :]. Figured i'd post in case anyone can make use of it√. Takk gorgoroth6669!.

Record in garage.

Sound of opening the inner lid of new elite coffee. It consists of a clearly audible part, and a quiet part - opening the remaining paper. This is not a sound you can record often, because you can open coffee only once!. Sound was recorded with a mic "sony" (an inexpensive one). It was edited a bit, to cut unwanted mic-touch sounds. The packaging of coffee says, "elite platinum, 100% natural freeze dried instant coffee, 100 g".

This sample was created by taping a razor blade to a contact microphone and allowing the blade to scrape against the edge of a record spinning on a turntable. The reverb was added in real time, so there's not a dry signal recording. Very reminiscent of tg's "hamburger lady" in some ways. Sounds like a human voice almost.

Recorded in the archeological site of palenque while working on the restoration of mayan architecture, this sound would be heard every morning before the site was open to the public (date: summer of 2018).

This ambiance has been recorded at luzech (france) on a hill, far from a bit everything. You can hear the lot (river) making some filtered white noise.
