Recording of some new year's celebrations in vienna. Captured using a clippy stereo em172 microphone and a zoom h5 handheld recorder. I positioned the microphone capsules outside the window on the left and right and then gently (almost) closed it. I setup the recorder and rolled the whole evening. This bit was around the apex of the celebrations in that part of town. Sadly some clipping occured, but i chose to upload the unaltered file. So no post-processing has been applied. Cut in ocenaudio. In an attempt to add warmth to my productions, i sampled some of the more distinctive sounds mostly from the lead-ins and lead-outs from dirty/scratched records. If shortened, they make for interesting _analog_ glitch noises.

Kinda sounds like a mincraft button but toned and slowed down.

Helicopter taking off from ground level, beside a brick building. The rotors spin increasingly faster, the engine revs, and the bird takes off into the distance, quickly fading. A very pure recording with the exception of one voice early on.

This ambiance has been recorded at luzech (france) on a hill, far from a bit everything. You can hear the lot (river) making some filtered white noise.

I started recording a vinyl lp into my computer before realising that i hadn’t set the anti-skate properly and the needle was stuck in the lead-in groove. I trimmed this bit of snap crackle n’ pop and kept it in the hope that it might be useful for me or anyone else. Have fun.

Sound clock ticking.

This ambience was recorded on zoom h6 with msh-6 mid-side stereo mic capsule. Recording was edited and decoded. Mic was positioned right in a frame of an open window so that it won't get flood from a heavy rain and pick up much room reflections. My flat where i recorded from was on 4th floor. There was a busy street 50m far from the apartment building itself, a bit further there was a park. Rain at that night was heavy. Also you can hear several heavy thunder hits of various distance throughout the whole recording. Hope this recording will help to enhance the sound of your next project. Rainy car ride.

Field recording in rural serbia. Mid afternoon in august. Voices in the distance fade away, a light wind in the trees. Stereo shotgun mic on a boom pole, 2m50 up in the air. 48k/16 bitrecorded in 2010.

Recorded in the archeological site of palenque while working on the restoration of mayan architecture, this sound would be heard every morning before the site was open to the public (date: summer of 2018).

To create this sound i recorded myself opening a can of coke in my bedroom. To record, i used my aston spirit microphone on cardioid polar pattern and my focusrite scarlett 18i20 second generation (2nd gen) interface running pro tools from my mac at 48khz, 24 bit. I also used a reflection filter to lower rt60 so this sound has minimal reverb to tape. The cable i used was made of canford hst cable and has neutrik xlr connectors.
