A field recording i made in bruges, december 2013. While i was walking around the chapel at the béguinage, a nun started singing and practising the organ. It sounded beautiful but also quite spooky and ethereal. I'm afraid it's not the best quality as i had to improvise with the voice memo feature on my iphone. The recording has distant singing and other ambient noises, such as footsteps and whispering. The organ kicks in at 02:29. Please let me know if you make use of this.

This is a (-nother) synthetic soundscape i did some years ago, reminiscent of a wide, enclosed, dark cavern, very good for subtly underlaying film scenes playing in appropriate locations. Originally, it is a recording of me blowing on a beer-bottle, captured by a sennheiser condenser mic, and then receiving some attention by the yamaha multi-effects generator in my university back then. I still like and use it a lot today.

My voice with a spooky sounding delay.

This was created with paul's extreme sound stretch program, my voice, and audacity. I whispered a couple of times into the microphone and slowed it down a good bit in paul's stretch program. I think the result is pretty creepy! leave a comment and let me know if you plan on using this!. Edit -- 8/23/10 -- whoa, did not know that the file size was so big. Me making a weird noise into my mic then doing some paulstretch.

A record of me trying to groan in a creepy way. I thought of horror movies and video games while doing this, however feel free to use it for anything else. :).

Inspired by ben croshaw's point 'n' click horror adventure games, i decided i'd try and see if i can make my own creepy whispers using audacity. This is basically some whispered lines and some really low-volume screams superimposed on one another, with some of these lines reversed. I made this on march 2012 and was recorded on my netbook's slightly damaged built-in mic.

Whispering saying "what the frick do i say. . . ". Good for dark music or casting a spell or evil.

Plugins used for creation:ni kontakt 5 with stigma by sampletraxx, pain piano by silence+other sounds, chillerscapes free library by resomonics, ni massive, etc. Effects: izotope mastering plugins, berzerk distortion, defacer, guitar rig 5, raum, eventide black hole, xctr, stock fl studio reverbs and eq's, etc.
