It's a recording of a man operating a chainsaw in a forest near an underground repair station. I've been biking through the forest whe i heard the chainsaw, so i stopped and recorded 7 minutes of him cutting off branches, tembers and walking around a bit. You can heat the chainsaw, natural forest reverb, sometimes a plane flying by or an undergroud train. The recording was made from around 20~30 meters from the sound source. Recorded with a zoom h2 (rear mics, hi gain, 96/24). Originally a 96khz / 24-bit wav file. Converted to flac using audacity.

The recorder is situated in a small wood some 40m or so from the shore, facing the beach and capturing a wide angle. Recorded with a zoom h2n. These are the rear channels of a 4ch surround recording. Swiss forest, sunny winter morning, on a small mountain. The cracks and other falls are due to the snow that melt in the sun and fell from the top of the trees. It was beautiful. Recorded in stereo with h5n, and processed a little bit to reduce the wind.

I made this field recording using gopro hero 7 black in july 2020. It was recorded during the day around lunchtime in the jungles outside of kuala lumpur at the selangor border.

Most of this recording is of insects in a special field of native wildflowers at a dog-park on south mountain reservation in new jersey. Near the beginning of the recording, you can hear, in the distance, a dog at the dog park yelping in pain very loudly, perhaps after receiving a bite from another dog. The rest of the recording is pure ambience, except for a plane (newark airport isn't far off). ---two primo em172 capsules -> zoom h1.
