I've recorded this while biking around an urban forest. The recording is not perfect, there's a lot of background noise but might be usefull anyway. Recorded with handheld zoom h2. Originally 48khz/24-bit, edited and normalized afterwards, saved as 24-bit flac.

I captured this excited pileated woodpecker on the edge of some deep woods, on a hot dusk in august 2010. It was about 7:30 on a calm night at the edge of the shawnee national forest. The tempurature was 85 degrees. What i find really enjoyable though is the rising, and ebbing and flowing of, i believe the typical summer cicadas. Recorded using my zoom h4n recorder using the internal buil-in microphones.

This sound was recorded on an october morning in the chocoyero - el brujo natural reserve, in nicaragua, central america, with a zoom h5. It's a nice sound from a place i love. A gigantic flock of crows (corvus corone), at least 100 birds, circling right over our house at lubeck, germany. Hasty recording, therefore some rumbling at some points, but a nice clear recording nonetheless as they circled very near. Recorded on zoom h2.
