Here, the opening chorus is in 12/8 time, which is almost always associated with a peaceful, pastoral mood. Here it is the expressive key of E minor, which, raised to monumental heights, will re-appear in the opening chorus of the St. Matthew Passion. The chorale is sung in long note values by the soprano accompanied by the lower voices of the chorus in densely textured imitation, and which takes up the serenely elegiac movement of the instrumental ritornello theme. Only twice does Bach interrupt the pattern: at the words 'sanft und stille' all the voices drop into a sudden 'piano' and even the lively rhythm of the vocal part gives way to a more tranquil measure. The contrast of the 'forte' on the next words, 'wie Gott mir verheißen hat' is all the more convincing in relation to the preceding words. Once again Bach leads the vocal part into a quiet, even tenor for the final line of the chorale, 'der Tod ist mein Schlaf worden.' This is my replica of classical tom's screaming in the tom and jerry series. The sound is edited in a way that it sounds distorted and clipped like it was back in the days when someone screamed into the microphone. Yes, this is intentional. (consider it being vintage :d). This is a strong wind recorded in whalley range manchester with a calrec soundfield microphone using neve preamps into apogee converters. Encoded to stereo using the soundfield plugin.

Raw sampled xlive. Exe on a hungarian windows 7 64-bit computer using audacity. The reason why it's only 11khz in frequency range is becaue 44 100 hz makes the sample too high pitched. Also had to make it mono because most of the sound was pushed to the right.

I transformed the laughs in tears by reducing speed, and a delay to add an effect of inaccuracy. Typologie (cf. P. The recorder is situated directly on the shoreline, facing seaward, so the waves lapping onto the rocky shore can be heard directly in the foreground, further in the background, crickets can be heard, and further behind that, the occasional voice of a bather or the sound of a passing boat. Recorded with a zoom h2. This file contains the front channels, recorded with a mic-dispersion of 90°.

Squeaky audio cable-to-speaker incomplete connection. One end is plugged into a speaker and the other is not plugged into anything. The squeaking sound is made from my fingers touching the tip and sides of the metal tip of the non-connected end of the cable. The variation of sound and pitch is from moving my fingers up and down the metal tip in different speeds, angles, and placements.

Very strong wind in the beach. I couldn't help laughing blown by tremendously strong wind. My at835st was covered with a wind-protection foam but no use. I dont recommend this file to everybody. It may hurt your speaker system if played loudly. Marantz pmd661.

For whatever reason, i decided to blow into a paper bag and pop it in my apartment. May be of some use to the mentally ill. Recorded with a rode ntg-2 shotgun microphone and a m-audio mobilepre usb audio interface.

I used a single gunshot sound to make a classic gangster-movie machine gun sound. Can be easily looped.

I used the same sound as the slower machine gun burst to make a faster one. Can be easily looped.

Stereo field recording of the trubarjeva cesta in ljubljana/slovenia. It is a fine early summer evening and lots of tourists and locals are underway. The recorder is located at a busy intersection with lots of pedestrian and motor traffic. Around 2 mins into the recording, a motor scooter noisily passes by the recorder. Recorded with a zoom h2n, mics set to 90° dispersion. This recording is also available in 5. 1 surround. Drop me a message if you want it.

The sound of a construction worker operating a concrete road saw on a rainy day is heard in this recording. The recording begins with the saw already in operation, then is shut off and shortly restarted. He makes a couple of passes on the section of road he is working on and turns the machine off. A nearby siren is also heard at the end, so the shutdown at the head can be used as an alternative. Gear: zoom h6, xyh-6 x/y capsule (120 degree stereo image), rycote windjammer.
