Long easy rain. Recorded from my front porch the evening of may 22, 2018. Almost half an hour; slice it up to use your favorite parts. Rain slows down around 3:00. Some distant thunder around 16:20. Look out for a few small ambient noises like splashes or traffic. A perfect audio bed under your sound design of a rainy scene. Or layer it to create a storm.

There was a dry thunderstorm 10 km far away from the dictaphone this dawn (27th of may 2014). You can hear crickets and dogs barking in the distance as well. Recorded in nighttime by sony stereo dictaphone.

This is a recording made on june 04, 2007, in greensboro, north carolina, usa, of a heavy thunderstorm with close lightning strikes, featuring a neighborhood dog in the background. Recorded using an edirol r1 and linkwitz modified panasonic wm61 capsules mounted on a home-made jecklin disk.

I made this field recording a few weeks back during a thunderstorm. It's in the bush near a stream which can be faintly heard in the background. Recorded with a zoom h4n. Mp3 320kb/s.

Org:8901/i used the filename of one of the recordings for part of this new dual receivers recording mixed in goldwave and time-synched by ear. Left channel is the pensylvania receiver, right channel is the uk receiver. Heard are various stations working or trying to work w1uuu in massachusetts including stations in the dominican republic, argentina, the ukraine, trinidad and tobago, colombia and florida. Some stations are heard better in pa, some better in the uk. Lots of static crashes heard from late spring lightning storms hundreds or thousands of kilometers away from both receivers. You can find over 100 receivers athttp://websdr. Org/most allow you to record, though some have a 15-minute timer.

A few loud sounds in the beginning, one massive and loud lightning and thunder. You can even hear the lightning crack before the thunder. Distant thunder follows with some birds chirping at the end. Recorded on a h4n zoom at 48khz 24bit.

This is not a complete composition. This is a loop i created for people who play d&d or any rpg or game thats similar. It will loop perfectly. It is not diverse enough in composition to be considered a finished track, nor is it dynamic enough to be a finished song, it is a 3 min 30 seconds loop with the midi used on 2 different synths so it doesn't get more boring than it already is. This is not a complete composition. It's a loop. Meant to be looped. I used 2 sounds, the tiger roar and thunder from two other users. They described it is okay to do so in their description. In three years, only two days where thunder was roaring very loud above my apartment. I am relieved to have been able to immortalize, with the windows open, this deluge amplified by the inner courtyard of my building. Microphones are located in my room, windows opened. Basicucho32bitsfloat_192khz.

Note: the high-pitched squeaks are artifacts from freesound's preview and aren't present in the actual recording. 10 minutes of a thunderstorm, recorded september 7th, 2019 from my apartment window in seattle. This is the raw recording straight from my zoom h5. Levels were kept low to minimize the chance of clipping. A few thunder sounds were still too loud, but luckily the h5 has a backup function that recorded an identical track 12 db quieter. I've uploaded that as well, so you can splice the two together to taste. Eventually i'll release a processed version with the two combined, plus compression and eq, but i wanted to upload the source material in case you'd prefer to diy it.

A thunderstorm in munich, recorded 2020-07-01 in my backyard on second floor on a balcony. It rains, the strikes come closer, then they go away, the rain recedes. Some backyard noise, faint traffic and tram. One time you here me sighing (sorry). Some minimal clipping at thunder peaks, sorry again, but i think it's very usable anyway and contains a lot of material.
