Here's a sound i put together from a variety of different sources including my own. It's a group of guys shouting "hey!" i'm using it in a song but thought i'd share it. Enjoy!.
School kids recorded in the cafeteria during their lunch hour. It was recorded using an iphone (extemporaneous, hence the low quality), converted from the m4a to ogg, but it could certainly pass as a background sound.

Humans shouting to make a loud buzzer/siren sound. This sound was used as the game over siren in older versions of the open source game trosnoth, and has been described by some as a "maniacal scream".
I recorded a friend of mine making various noises and then used this one for my alien 3d model i made. I used a yeti mic to record, and audacity to edit.
