My one-year-old walking on a paved driveway in the evening. Lots of bugs and tree frogs. Recorded with a moto x.

Afternoon suburb. Sunny. Crickets, chirpy birds. Hammers can be heard far off on roof construction. Door closes in the distance. A car goes by and then you hear faint discussions. Recorded with h4n with rycote windjammer. No more wind noise! yay! :d.

Here's a recording made in saint-urbain (charlevoix) pq, canada in the forest a morning of august 2014. You can hear grasshoppers, crickets, wasps and a creek in the background. This recording was made with a sound devices usbpre2 into a tascam dr-680 (spdif) and 2 microphones studio project c1 in ortf stereo pattern. It's in 24 bits 96khz , 40hz low cut.

This is a recording i took in my back yard on the 4th of july 2014. There are the sounds of crickets as neighborhood fireworks being set off faintly in the background sounding almost like a war zone. The house is off a busy street, so there is also some traffic sounds. Neighborhood dogs bark at the fireworks faintly in the background.

Late summer night in the northern european (estonian, to be precise) countryside. Crickets, occasional barking etc.

A soundscape from my debut album, "summer crickets. . . " takes several field recordings of rural summer ambiance and mixes them with my own acoustic guitar strumming. I also mixed in some am radio vocal snippets, resulting in a unique ambient piece that relaxes and unsettles simultaneously. -recorded entirely with tascam dr-03 at 48 k / 24 bit.

I record this ambient before raining. You can hear crickets, dogs in distance, talking people from block of flat, little of rain and raindrops on window ledge. Recorded on tascam dr-60d with shure vp88 (m/s stereo).

This recording was made alongside a camera trap survey while at loagan bunut national park in sarawak, malaysia. It's a quite nice little bit that we didn't expect to ever find a use for, but came across this website and through i would share it. It lasts a good long time with pretty consistent sounds, so best wishes on it's use. This is a lone cricket recorded around 6pm in mid-november 2011 in my front yard using a rode ntg-2 mic mounted inside a parabolic reflector, recorded onto a zoom h4n.

A classic movie punch sound recreated by hitting a leather car seat with a cricket bat. Recorded using a rode k2 tube mic and a schoeps cmc6, driving the preamps hard and compressing the input, then heavily compressing a number of takes using analog-emulation plugins (including a fairchild 660) and running the mix through waves maxxbass. Then limiting some more and finally adding the swoosh of a riding crop and a non-linear reverb noise tail.

Crickets chirping at night behind my apartment balcony in tokyo. You can hear my neighbor's air conditioner droning in the background. There is some weird freak burping and talking in the middle of the recording. This is a stereo recording made with 2 coincidental mics at 120゜angles.

This was recorded incincinnati ohio. Then processed with gold wave to make loop-able. This was recorded with a winbook desktop webcam. Amazing the quality that it produced, could be better but still not bad.

Insects (i think mostly crickets) make this noise. It sounds so. . . Infernal!, or futuristic (electronic for sure). I recorded this (with my old zoom ii recorder) one summer night in tlacotlapan, at the southern mexican state of veracruz. All this happened for hours inside my hotel room. So you can imagine what kind of night i have. Wonderful memories.
