So, in the process of rendering a mono version. . . I decided to tinker. There's high & low pass filtering as well as a 4 band eq applied. Seems to have significantly reduced the noise. I was playing with a rubber band i stretched out on a plastic box for pencils and things, stretching it back and forth seeing what happened.
