I recorded the fan on quite loud and i opened and closed the cd drive on my hp eletebook 8460p, different laptop models have a different frequency from the fan and different cd drives make a different sound when checking it. Recorded from the internal microphone.

I use dreamtalk recorder for recording funny things i say in sleep, but sometimes it will pick up other sounds, it picked this horn up outside my window. Reason i added yellow as a tag is because i have synesthesia and a horn is the colour yellow.

Recording of the tires of a flat bed trailer going over a gravel path. This was from a hayride where i was sitting in the back with a bunch of kids being pulled by the tractor. Recorder was just a couple of feet from the wheel so most of the kids noises and even the tractor engine get drowned out, but still somewhat audible in spots. There are two recordings, one taken from the side with the mic at the wheel and one with the mic under the trailer while recording. (this is the one with the recorder off to the side. ). The sound could also (maybe) be used to mimic a hailstorm. Recorded with a sony icd-px312.

This is the sound of a traffic under a bridge. Recorded in stereo with a sound devices mixpre3ll and a pair of audio technica at943 microphones.

This sound is about 9 hours long from the evening 13rd of april 2014 to the morning on 14th of april. First 2-3 hours aeroplanes passed by. Than at about midnight our and our neighbour's dog barked at each other sometimes. Near the and you can hear rooster and finally the birds tweeting as morning came. Recorded in pécel.

This is a long ride on one of san francisco's trolley cars, recorded on 08/25/2015. Evening, past rush-hour, so the trolley is pretty empty. There's some muffled talking on the driver's radio. Two contact microphones recording an engine from a mini cooper s in sport mode. Surprisingly aggressive-sounding. Intended to use for a race car asset. Contact microphones are stethoscope-like mics that you place onto a surface to record vibrations. This way, i was able to record the raw engine without wind or perspective. The left channel is the chassis and the right is the engine block. . . Blending the two together produces a great sound. Free to use.

I recorded this while i was on the steps on the right side of the car, holding the recorder in one hand and my life in the other! tourists talking, the operator ringing the bells and using the brake levers, etc. Recorded with a tascam dr-70d, built in mics. This sound was made by me, i tied down my canon powershot a460 digital camera inside the engine bay of my 1993 rover 620si, and it's got a petrol honda engine, no turbo on this version. I had my video recording on my camera in the engine bay while i was driving. I started the engine up and took it for a drive. I simply took the sound off the video.
