Hello all!i recorded this sample today, 10-11-2012 in la, ca, usa. I needed a radio tuning sample and i wasn't pleased with the ones i found, so i recorded one with my zoom h2!. I realized i actually didn't have a radio, so i went to a thrift store and bought one for $4. 34. It sounds perfect for what i need. This sample is in 44. 1khz, 24bit. Heard a barred owl calling in my backyard. Grabbed my zoom h4n with audio-technica at897 shotgun mic and started recording. Did some minor equalization to soften the higher frequencies and roll off the low end. Crickets are chirping in the background, a few other insects make some sounds. Soft droning of a couple planes flying by and vehicles from a highway about a mile away, but do not overpower the barred owl.

I typed quite slow in the beginning if you need to edit out and synch with your footage, if you just want typing sound in the background i think the best is in the end of the clip. The mouse clicking comes later in the clip. I've mixed it a bit but might need more mixing. I've used freesound for 7 years now and i thought i would pay back for all the good sounds that i've used from freesound. More will come <3.

I´ve recorded this sound produced by a large water wheel of 4 meters diameter, in the historical part of augsburg bavaria, part of town where early industry and work shops used water energy for different purposes. This water wheel does not drive any gear any more, it is just for to give an impression of that old water driven industry. The wheel is driven by one of many former industry channels, small rivers through that part of town.

Privatedareno2 - 3patches - 3min. A challenge kindly started by alienxxx \(^_^)/. Patch 1: the patch that was… a patch i did yesterday. Got that one for free, so to speak. Patch 2: inspired by distant airplanes. Had this in mind. Now i patched up my idea. The wind (or what you decide to call it) is controlled by alm pip slope. New module – for me. Used an external effect, the zoom ms-70cdr. Patch 3: read about feedback. I decided to do a feedback patch. First i made one using oscillators, but i did not manage to do something nice. So i used filters. The first filters feedback is generating triggers. Oh, yes, and i used my sampler (soundmachines ul1uloop). So three patches. I merged/mixed them together in audacity. All sound unedited. Just normalized and i have applied fade in/out – and mixed them together - as written.
