This is from a recording session trying to create laser weapon sounds. I just used the same technique as ben burtt used in wall-e (with the slinky and the contact mic). This is unprocessed, no eqs, compression, reverb or anything was added. I used a long piece of curled up aluminum wire which i hung from a tall structure at my house and the main object i used to oscillate the wire was a drum stick. For the recording i used the blue icicle and recorded into reaper. The contact mic is my own creation from a diy i found online (roughly €5 to make). I sound recorded my metal slinky springing up and down as i was holding it. If you put your recorder on the slinky you should end up hearing the following sound, like an armada of storm troopers.

This is the sound of a sheet metal that is under high tension, hitting it with a small key produced a laser fire type of sound. Recorded using a contact mic as the area is surrounded by a lot of noise, the contact mic cut out everything. The recording was taken at my place of work so it would be easy should anyone require the "shots" to be re-recorded at a different tempo. 96khz 24bit mono-mix.

Im making an fps game, and i needed a special sound for a special gun. So i made this weird laser sound.

A space-ship laser firing sound with a retro-y 8-bit effect. My work, feel free to use in any way however you'd like. To make this, i used a synth in cubase to get the basic laser sound, then exported to garageband where i applied and tweaked the bitcrusher effect to give it the 8-bit effect.

So, i was messing around with audacity and made this little sound. I used a sound of me screaming (trimmed) and i messed up with the effects then kapow! it's here! xd. I really had no idea what is this but let's say it was some sort of laser though. Created with audacity.
