That sound was recorded in mai 2016 inside an old watermill house in bavaria, where the old waterwheel still drives a wooden gear with cogwheels. Originally that watermill had several purposes like hammering, sawing, pressing oil from different fruits or producing paper.

Capturing the sounds of castanuelas, played subliminal, filigrained,recorded in different ways, feel free to resample && reuse. The problem is to mike certain wood percussion instruments to sound organic, natural and identifiable. Humanized with small microtiming variations.

Since i was walking in the riaza river gorges i saw a lot of ants on the remains of an animal. I put over a pair of contact mics trying not to disturb to the ants. Maybe the sound you can hear in this audio is produced by the ants eating or the. "hoces del río riaza" natural park (segovia) / 2010-09-04 11:00.

Three quick samples of the gear one mk1000 on kick (+ a single audio technica at2020 overhead on the rest of the kit). Recorded straight into a tascam us-1800 in a lousy room with a less-than-optimal 22" mapex kick drum. Each quick loop / snippet is 1) presented in mono / processed with compression and some eq (mostly a 6dbish scoop at around 300hz on the mk1000 and 80hz rolloff on the 2020 with about 5db less on the mk1000 than the 2020), then 2) presented exactly as recorded / no processing at all save normalization, mk1000 panned hard left channel, at2020 panned hard right. The first two samples are the mk1000 in the resonant head cutout, the third is the mk1000 positioned about 4" from the head and just about 2" from dead center of the drum.

This is a continuous sound (low frequency) of the wind and the friction of it with the microphone. It's recorded inside of the playground at upf campus of poblenou, barcelona. It was recorded at 13:20. Recorded using zoom h4, normalized with audacity and adde fade-in and fade-out.

Sounds like a passenger jet landing that is relatively close. I made this in audacity by recording myself blowing into the microphone, then distorting it and stretching it to sound like a jet.

Random recordings from a soma ether device (recorded with zoom h1n, line-in). In these recordings i picked up those areas which i though to be useful for a drum kit, just as i would do it for myself. Skype interference or feedback sound effect. Its the sound your computer makes if your speakers are too loud. What happens is that your computer plays the sound coming from the person on the other side and then it plays over there and then plays back on your computer, it builds up in waves. Just turn your sound down and it should go away.
