A length of gaffa tape is taken off the roll.

I needed a sound that clearly represents peeling tape from a roll. I found some surgical tape of the kind used to secure a bandage, and proceeded to peel it from the roll, tear a piece off and apply it. All of that is here.

Super retro tape deck sound effect from a cassette player in a car. It has the click and reel sound effect, like you just popped a tape in and its starting.

Acoustic snare sample ripped from the stock fruity loops loop "pendulus" mixed in with a click transient from a free goldbaby sample pack. Resampled and compressed multiple times. Tape saturated. This is a recording of an 1870s-era cider press. It's hand-cranked. I used it for the sound of an evil conveyor belt. Recorded on a samsung galaxy j7 while i save up for a real recorder.

Very loud, close recording of an old, partially functional wallensack reel-to-reel tape recorder. Recording includes the tape motor in operation and a piezo mic being dragged across the surface of the tape recorder. The recording has a fair amount of both background noise, and hum from the machine itself.

Basically layered a 200hz snare body, similar to a 909, low-passed and saturated. Added in a transient sound, then a certain impact sound that you wouldn't expect, layered together with some high end white noise, compressed, then used a transient shaper for that final touch.

Got around to putting a swish noise on my punchy_evolution 2 snare and the result was alright, then i compressed it a little bit and put a little bitcrushing on it to maximize the volume.

Tape echo recorded from actual tape machine tesla pluto anp404 made in czechoslovakia in 70s. Sound has been captured through its speaker and my mxl770 condenser mic.

Just a mixture of multiple samples i created over time. Layering a swish noise which was basically a white noise sample with an eq envelope, lowpassed snare, and a not-so-highpassed clap, compressed and saturated. Enjoy!.

I ripped duct tape in front of a digital hand recorder. This sound was recorded september 4th 2014 in a room at hume lake christian camps in hume, ca and has only been trimmed in audacity. No other editing was done.

This is an aif (garage band) file of just good ol' tape hiss recorded from a jvc tape machine (cassette). It's just tape hiss. You can change the freq to help blend it in your recordings. I have the volume on this at a higher level. When i blend this with my digital recordings i turn it down just enough to hear it without it being too analog sounding. Hope you can use it. It's great for soft passes and solo instruments, much like white noise of a studio perhaps.

I was tried to make a tape loop, and this is what i got. For those who haven't tried, it's very difficult to make a tape loop. This one broke after two loops, so i'm lucky i recorded it!.

My vcr rewinding a vhs tape. Sounds pretty gnarly at the end. Recorded with a jm27 into my zoom h4n. As a side note, this sound was a real pain to record. Every time i set up the mic, it seemed like the ac would come on, the dog would bark, or some other sound would ruin the recording. Whatever, i got it done.
