This sound is an extremely distorted sample of breathing suitable for use in horror soundscapes. It was created by taking the sound of breathing and feeding it through multiple filters in audacity. The filter sequence used is as follows: reverb, volume boost, static, phaser, bass boost, barry's satan maximizer, amplifier.

I just recorded my friend and my brother's voice screaming and edited the pitch in wavepad sound editor demo, and tada! a jumpscare.
