Pinafore airs, Pt. 1 of 4. This four-part cylinder collection covers most of H.M.S. Pinafore's songs, although, sadly, part 3 is missing from the collections I've so far been able to check. This is a short extract from a sound installation 'the ocean misses a beat' commissioned for a festival in plymouth, uk and subsequently presented in chester as part of the 'up the wall' festival. It features recordings of the sea i made at heybrook bay in devon.

Field-recording in a quiet street in l'ametlla del vallès (barcelona, spain). Some bird sounds can be heard rather closely, dogs barking and cars passing by in the distance. Recorded with a zoom h4n on january 2017.

This is a compilation of recordings from behind my daughter's house in dallas. Close to the rr track where they probably travel. But she seems to have a group of them near her who live there for at least part of the year. The 2 barks are from her late dog leo who she lost this year so i could not bear to take them out. Also i processed this audio with audacity and they started as mono. . . So i put them in stereo tracks. . . . Hope they are ok for some peoplealso you will notice that some parts are louder than others and i did not feel like normalizing volume. Aaaaooooooooo.

A crowd noise created my a bunch of pupils talking about different things at the same time. Some parts were reversed to disguise the language (which was russian) and the actual meaning of words.

This is a part of a strong summer thunderstorm with heavy rain and thunders. The rain changed its intensity during the recording. It is hearable also some bells. The recording was made using a roland r05 mounted on a tripod in front of a window facing to a hedge.
