In-n-out, unlike other fast food chains, does not allow music in their dining rooms. This is because most in-n-out locations are so busy and constantly loud, the addition of music would create an unbearable sense of mayhem. This is the soundscape i've recorded in my neighboorhood of cidade tiradentes, a district from são paulo, brazil. We name these events as pancadão (big punch) or fluxo (flow). When a flow occurs, you know that the sound is very high and it invades all surroundings. It happened in april 4, 2021, during our worst period in the the global covid-19 pandemic. A high-quality recording of a quiet day on the steps in front of the st. Ursen cathedral in solothurn, switzerland. You can hear the two fountains which build the background sound. Also, there are tourists and swiss people walking nearby and talking. The sound was recorded in 24bit on a professional zoom recorder with the xyh-5 stereo microphone. For postprocessing, only unwanted noises were cut from the recording and the overall sound level was raised.
