A walk through ridley road market in dalston, east london. Lots of people chatting and music playing. As with many markets in london there are lots of languages being spoken. You can hear traders calling out what they're selling. This recording was made using a sound devices mixpre6ii and a stereo pair of fel em172 mics. Low cut on the sd which in basic mode is 80hz (i think). There is some processing to this recording to ‘normalize’ the levels and light eq-ing. I do not require any credit or attribution. The recorder is situated in the center of times square, some cars (mostly taxis) are underway, some (very few) people as well, cleaners and a team of subway construction workers are on the scene. Stereo ambience of people passing by at the kulturforum in berlin. This is a large open concrete space next to the berlin philharmonic hall. It's a warm summer evening and the berlin philharmonics have just finished an open air concert. The recording starts about 15 minutes after the end of the concert while everyone is leaving the place, maybe about 1000-1500 people. The crowd is generally in a happy and talkative mood. There are lots of international folks and tourists, so you'll not only hear german, but also english and lots of other languages. After six minutes or so there is also a police siren in the background. Recorded with a zoom h6 (xy mics). Location: tijuana, mexicotime: december, 2016. Riding a route taxi through the streets of tijuana. It's the evening on a weekday and people are coming off work. An ambulance cruises by. Passengers are silent most of the ride until minute 4:40 when the driver stops on a busy boarding zone. Coins jingle when people pay the driver. The door slides open and you can hear people on the street chatting, while passengers get off and new ones come in.

Amount of sounds recorded on the field : a construction site of a power plant where i worked. Sounds of tools and electrical devices, some motors, ventilation, people talking, metallic sounds (pieces of metal structures, doors, pipes which i played drums with), sounds of shoes with rubber outsole. Sounds mostly from the inside and a bit outside. Sometime the quality is not the best as i hid my recorder.
