A wooden gate opening and closing with the sound of a metal latch. This is the faster version. There is a slower version also. Recorded with an olympus pcm recorder.

I've recorded 2 minutes of an old creaking door making some variations. Zoom h4. Lovely creaking.

A recording of flushing the toilet’s water, followed by a groaning door closing sound. Production stages : this sound was originally recorded by a group of students at university lyon 3. Then it was imported to audacity where few modifications were made. First of all, the record was precisely cut so there are no human voices in the background. Then, the sound was normalized and slightly compressed before applying the noise reduction effect. Last, but not least a constant gain was added at the beginning and lightly fading effect took his place at the end. When we open and close the door it produces a sharp sound. When we close the door the sound is louder because it hits into the wall.

These are the elevators from the hendaya train station making a signal before opening the doors, recorded with zoom h1 during a recent trip there.

This is a sci-fi door or piece of equipment sound - short bleeps - it was created using mixcraft 6 and a shure usb mic. . I whistled and manipulated the sound using effects and pitch control.

Group kmm-this is a recording taken on a short walk between two buildings. There are train noises, car noises, etc. There is some wind noise. Recorded with a zoom h4 handheld recorder.

I accidentally recorded this sequence when i left my camcorder on while filming some drawing tutorials. My warehouse style studio is in the inner city at street level opening onto a street closure/park so you will hear some faint bird tweeting in the background. Near the beginning and end there is the sound of a large industrial sliding door and the loud clanging is a drop bolt on an external metal security grill gate. Wind blown chimes add to the scene. I only applied a very low level audio clean-up using adobe soundbooth cs3 to reduce hiss.

Bathroom stall at movie theater, spring door slamming over and over. Certain parts clip, will have to use middle section or declip with noise reduction. Voices can be hear in parts.

Erratic low knocking on wooden door using a crystal microphone. Initial sounds are tapping on crystal microphone attached to the door, later are knocking on that same door in different forms and rhythms. Including: rapping and pounding. Tascam.

Compiled a number of different clips with background field sounds all recorded on a nikon d3200 dslr using windows moviemaker and then converting the sound track into wav format. Consist of walking to shed door in wellies(very poor sounds), opening shed door, rustle of taking apples out of plastic bag followed by chopping noises, closing of shed door then sniffing and chomping of apples by three horses.

After spending a weekend putting together a giant wardrobe (from everyones favourite swedish furniture store) for my girlfriend i thought i should reward myself by making some recordings of it. This is a close mic recording of the sliding door, i followed the top of the door (where there was the most interesting sound) the full length of the wardrobe as i opened/closed the door. For this recording i used my sennheiser mkh416 going into a sound devices mp-1 preamp and recorded to a tascam dr-680.

Just decided to upload it, sorry for the noise low humming, can easily be removed in most programs. Decent sound though.
