As there was hardly any car circulating during the first french confinement, i had the idea of recording the blackbird from my garden day after day around 6 a. M. This recording was made on april 15, 2020 with the sony ic recorder. Enjoy the solo by this little composer!.

Got a can of sriracha peas for my birthday. Accidentally plucked the pull-tab. Sounded good. Made everyone pause what was on tv so i could pluck it a bunch. Ate about 3-4 peas. I don't like sriracha. Much less on dry peas. My stomach got upset. Those few peas colored my burps for about an hour. The can lid was the real present all along. Incidentally captured: chair squeaks (funnily in time with the plucking), "hurry up", "(he's) documenting the sound", chuckling, "is that good enough?".

Nature, and man-made machines, wake up on a saturday in a small town in southern illinois. Even though getting "away from it all" and experiencing nature in the deep woods, or a quiet field is very enjoyable, let's not forget that nature often lives and thrives side-by-side with us. I recorded this in my back yard on saturday april 27th, 2013 at 6:45 am and you'll hear the low, but everpresent low rumble of a distant train throughout. But, over and above you hear the incredible variety of calls and sounds made by a family of starlings who seem oblivious to the iron horse and the occasional car. We had rain the night before, so every now and then you hear a loud "plop" as a breeze cuts loose fat rain-drop and it hits the foam wind-screen on my h4n. Starting at around 3:47 and running to 4:08 a cardinal makes a strong appearance. I made this recording using my zoom h4n recorder, using it's internal built-in stereo microphones, with the recording gain on 81, out of 100. Enjoy!.

Well, the pond area still had a layer of ice on it, but the birds were getting chatty anyways. Spring may eventually crack around here…. You can hear a freeway in the background, just pretend it's a river, m'kay?. Recorded march 20, 2014 near chicago. Just some birdsong i picked up while meditating this morning. Birds were flying about and the sound of the nearby road with the birds singing was beautiful. The loudest bird in the recording is a canary.
