Various momevents with my hand using small rocks and dirt. Brushing, grabbing, and dropping. Recording in the city is hard but i found a small canyon made of rocks in a park which helped block out traffic noise. Equipment: rode ntg3, zoom h5, izoptope rx4. A very simple beat useful for many styles. . . Heavily processed recorded with various microphonesprocessing involves eq, reverb, and 3 compressors working in parallel(hi tom is panned 30 right, low tom is panned 30 left).

I found this wonderful 4 foot high waterfall in a small canyon in the shawnee national forest in southern illinois. The cool splashing of the rivulet as it spilled out onto a catch-pool was enhanced by the echo as the sound bounced off the 3-sided grotto. Recorded on one of the hottest days of august 2011 using my rode ntg-2 shotgun mic into zoom h4n recorder.

A slab of stone continuously moved around on a sandy tiled floor. Might help to create some adventure sounds like big stone doors swinging open, or a stone lock being released. Recorded with my mobile, saved as wav by audacity.

Simply blues style riff, almost heavy distortion but it pulls back enough to not call it heavy. Some garage rock, independent style of blues you might call it. Some difference variations are throughout the piece.

Rock song short 10wrote/recorded a short rock song at 120 bpm in ableton live 9:guitar recorded direct into a scarlett 18i20 then used guitar rig 5 plugin from native instruments. Bass recorded direct into a la610 preamp then into the scarlett 18i20. Ezdrummer for drums. Additional notes:-12. 1 lufs integrated. -1. 9 db true peak max. Some wind at the microphone disturbed the recording. Rare human sounds come from observers staying at the area. Recorded with zoom h2n, postprocessing in steinberg wavelab le (only normalization).
