Roomtone of the interior of a barn, with constant creak, cracks, rattle, metal, can be used during storm, quite mysterious, recorded at 48-16 with portable dat using schoeps ms ball, edited and decoded in stereo in pt.
Bad windstorm was came to pécel, hungary on 31st march 2012. I recorded some sounds caused by the wind, for example door shutting, trees whizzing, etc. I used sony stereo dictaphone, 44100 khz, 16 bits, stereo. I tried to minimize the rumbling sounds.
The wind howling through an old window. Very spooky. Recorded in mono, but later i added a "stereo" pan to it, which i now regret. Just play the sample in mono and it will be fine.
Distant thunderstorm reached us on 2013. 08. 09-10 with very distant lightning and very very little amount of rain. Recorded by my sony stereo dictaphone.
A brief summer storm that occured in my home town of perth on the 31st of january 2023, starting at around 12:30 am and going for about 10 minutes. I decided to quickly setup my +atat 2020 and put it just outside my roof under the patio to record the rain on the tin roof.
Wasn't intending to record this, but it was so intense i had to. I couldn't sleep with the 50mph winds hitting right outside the bedroom. Worst storm i've been through since moving to washington state in 1999. It came from the east through chinook pass. I was kind of expecting the roof to fly off. You can hear the flapping of a tarp covering my old mercedes right outside the window. The wind shredded part of the tarp. Also, the snow drift hitting the window. I used my yamaha pocketrak and edited in sony vegas adding two extra tracks. Please comment on what you may use it for. Thanks. :-).

Thunder in suburban melbourne, light rain. A wide variety of different strikes, good for drama, easy to eq for different emphasis. One massive overhead strike about 6:15 in. Xy-coincident stereo mic recording @44k1.
A vigorous rain squall with hail after 2 minutes. Recorded in a suburb of cardiff with an r-09 hr, rode nt4 in a rode blimp. General urban background, some cars passing in the distance, footsteps and doors.
Some rain. Recorded on 7-6-2015. Microphone used is a sure sm58. Interface is an m-audio fasttrack usb. Nothing fancy, feel free to use it as you see fit!.
Recorded a near lightning strike using a vive surround sound mic and an h4n zoom recorder. The audio file was edited in adobe audition. The surround sound effect should play in any dolby surround sound system. This was my first attempt.
