I used 2 low frequency operators (lfo) on a low pass filter (24db) on a generic pink noise sound with medium resonance settings, one of these lfo's was manipulating the other one with a random ramp, to make it sound more diverse and realistic. I put an aditional long envelope on the q (resonance) also, not to mention some chorus at a low tempo to make it kinda binaural with a stereo delay at a short time setting. . . I hope you enjoy it!.

This is a precise emulation of the audible time signal broadcast by radio station wwv of the nist in the usa on shortwave. This recording was produced via a program i wrote that emulates the time signal and recreates it from scratch, but it conforms precisely to the specs of the real signal. The only part missing is the voice announcement of the time, which, in the real broadcast, is made during the last fifteen seconds of each minute (which is why the tone changes to just clicks during that time). There are two minutes in the recording, but it should be easy to loop it or otherwise modify it for other durations. Since this audio file was computer-generated from scratch, it contains no noise, but the real broadcast has some static and noise, especially at large distances from the transmitter in colorado. Generated by special software / 48. 1 khz 16-bit stereo.

I created this spoof auto switchboard for when i get spam calls on the telephone in the uk, simply start the file playing when you do not recognise an incoming call by the caller id, place your phone close to the speaker and let it run. The intent is to make the spammer caller think that the number is just an auto switchboard and hopefully remove the number from their database.

This is something that my on-line teacher has me playing. I took up the guitar again and even though this is a short piece it has a certain beauty to it. It should be played faster, but i think it also sounds nice at this tempo. The recording has a hiss and i don't know why as my recorder is a yamaha pocketrak. I tried editing out the hiss in sound forge but it also took away some of the music sound, so this is it as recorded. Please comment on what you may use it for. Thanks. :^).

Another free instrumental by anonymous producer mesostic. At a slow tempo, and with dissonant synthy chords, this is the perfect track for a hardline rapper to spit out some lines to. Or maybe it would make a great quirky soundtrack to your next homespun film project. The song was written in Ableton Live using Ableton core instruments and the U-He Diva soft synth on the lead line. Mesostic has also shared all stems here on Wikimedia for your remixing, extending and sampling delight.

Since i have recently found and love this site, i figure it's about time i upload something. I have been making some meditation and relaxing music and made this thing! this was made on ableton with an instrument rack. It's a basic chord progression with a drone note. Kinda makes me feel floaty. It's a 64 bar loop with 8 bars of drone after. Key: f#tempo: 120 bpm. Let me know if it's good, or if you all want more. Should be cool to see what you all do with it. This is the sound of a sheet metal that is under high tension, hitting it with a small key produced a laser fire type of sound. Recorded using a contact mic as the area is surrounded by a lot of noise, the contact mic cut out everything. The recording was taken at my place of work so it would be easy should anyone require the "shots" to be re-recorded at a different tempo. 96khz 24bit mono-mix.

An imaginary steam-powered machine runs up to speed and slows to a halt. Created in flstudio 11 with a commuted synthesis model for emulating engines and other cyclic mechanical sounds, also known as virtualmachine, by rurik leffanta. See http://www. Xoxos. Net/about. Html. Flstudio 3x osc noise was used as a hissing sound similar to venting of high pressure steam. The hiss is granulated to simulate a slight sputtering effect. As the machine tempo increases, lf rumble is introduced to evoke the notion of a rolling load. The rumble dies away as the machine slows down. 100% synthesised sound. No audio sample is present in this recording.

This is meant to represent "stopped time starting to move again". It's rough around the edges but with better timing and editing it can make wonders. I put this together from freesound samples years ago for a school project. I unfortunately don't have the sources from back then. If you uploaded any of the sounds featured, please contact me so that i may credit you.
