Field recording of a summer afternoon (28th june, ~20:30) in berlin lichtenberg. The recorder (edirol r-09rh) was set in a very high building, therefore the sound consists mainly of ambient noise, eventually with subtle concrete sounds (birds, childs, dogs, sirens,. . . ). The audio is unfiltered, so it's dominated by low-frequency energy. Filter as you wish :). (the web preview seems to have some high frequency artifacts. I went to a spot where traffic will slow down, stop and take off and drive at 60kms during peak. Autorickshaw: a field recording made in bangalore india, of a ride home in an autorickshaw. This was long before the days of electric autorickshaws (~year 2000), so the recording is the sound of the nasty, polluting-well-above-its-weight two-stroke petrol-engine variety. I was going home from a night out with with several friends spread out over three autorickshaws and sometimes you can hear the others in the recording. (the picture is not the actual autorickshaw in the recording, the photo is from pakistan. I didn't get a photo of the one in the recording, but you get the idea. ). Recorded on sony minidisc.

This is a recording of me, walking on the sidewalk of a road during heavy rain and wind. The cars passing me is driving through the water. I am using a røde blimp with deadcat in my hand, containing a sennheiser mkh 416 and a ambient ate 308 emesser in a ms-stereo setup. The recorder that i use is a zoom f6, but the ms-stereo decoding is done in pro tools in post. 32bit float 48khz.

Plenty of traffic at a large square in central munich, southern germany. The square has been named officially karlsplatz in 1797. Munich natives seldom use that name, calling the square instead stachus. Towards the end of the recording a tram tries to force its way, using his bell for a looong time.
