4 1/2 minutes of heavy rain with a couple of thunders in between. Recorder with a zoom h4n.

I believe this was recorded with a sound devices 702 and a neumann rsm 191 stereo shotgun in a concrete stairwell. You can hear the rain hitting the stairs and going down the drain. It's also hitting some junk at the top of the stairs. There are big thunder claps and more distant rumbles.

Lightning strike very close to our house - within 1/3 mile. The neighbors were out watching and you can hear their reaction. Recorded with sony pcm-m10 internal mics, sitting on porch roof. No editing other than fade-out.

My first upload to freesound is a thunderstorm recorded in gateshead, uk, next to our open bathroom window. Some lovely thunderclaps and rain. Recorded on a zoom h5. There are also some household sounds swimming around in the background, doors closing, dishes clinking etc; i think you can hear the radio or something very faintly towards the end -- but there's plenty of clean usable thunder and rain in there. Incidentally i often use this type of thing in my long-form instrumental music, produced under the name conelrad. Since the rain wasnot blowing in the door, i could hangthe mike out the door. Audacity was myplatform, with very little processing. This version was recorded with the default amplitude at o db. There is a little thunder now and then,and birds chirping outside, mostlycatbirds or mockingbirds. At one pointone of my neighbors was outside talking,the conversation is not distinguishable. This recording is just over 37 minutes. Since there was almost no wind or breeze, the rain is easy to hear. Thatis when it falls on the sidewalk.

5th of august 2015 distant thunderstorm thunder sounds in pécel, hungary, recorded by sony stereo dictaphone. It produced insignificant amount of rain.

Rain falling on my apartment. I´m the last floor and have ceiling windows. I move around the apartment getting different versions. Midway you can hear light music in the background. I also open the window near the end and you can hear a few thunders. Lluvia cayendo sobre mi apartamento. Soy el último piso y tengo ventanas en el techo. A lo largo del audio me muevo a través del apt buscando diferentes versiones. En la segunda mitad es posible escuchar música suave de fondo.
