This is one of the soundtrack cues that i completed for a psychological thriller, short. . . . . The director cut all music but liked it- it is a good piece for background to smooth out visual and dialogue for a darker genre.

The very traditional jarabe tapatío, one of the most beloved pieces that you can ask to a mariachi group. The last segment is commonly use as fanfare (in mexico we call it "una diana"); you probably hear it in old mexicans movies. Recorded on a phone, mysteriously, as a message on my answering machine. I have no knowledge as to who recorded it, where it was recorded, or whether it came from a live performance or not. All of the segments of this set combine sequentially, to form the full phone message.

All i did is that i recorded and played a little riff on my violin with my ipad, and then add some reverb, and delay effects in audacity. (very eerie-like, but pretty). This kind of reverb used in the beginning and end of the riff is a cathedral room-like sound, and a few seconds of delay. I used mostly double-stops during the riff. Enjoy.
