The sound of scrubbing an fm radio back and forth across the spectrum. There are bits and pieces of stations picked up with static in-between. Recorded using an old analogue radio, connected to a zoom h1 handy recorder.
This is a combination i put together for a nuclear holocaust themed sleep video i did that mostly features the sound of a geiger counter, radio static, and wind. I tried to pull sounds together that gave a real post-apocalyptic ambience.
This is a background hiss my cheap microphone records when i use my laptop. I recorded with audacity. This one has spikes of static noise every so often, sounding almost like faint voices. It's creepy in my opinion. It can also sound like water or a waterfall running in the background, or a beeping futuristic computer in a spaceship.
