I played arbitrary co-soundings on the mystic scale (it becomes mystic arabian if you mimic arabian music; otherwise is sounds european). I applied 300 hz steep low pass (eq) on an inverse sawtooth soundwave generator. I applied many delay effects in tandem. Created on fruity loops and re-equed on wavelab. A high quality recording with a solid collection of various snow footstep sounds. There's sounds of slow walking, fast walking, running, jumping and kicking the snow. You should be able to get pretty much all you need for a game or a film in this recording regarding feet and snow. Recorded with a zoom h2 at 96 khz / 24-bit, truncated and saved to flac using audacity. I left some silence n the start if you want to denoise it yourself, but i think it shouldn't be necessary. It was really quiet.

I'm doing some ww1 commemorative stuff and couldn't find any marching on freesound. So here's my effort: 25s of medium pace marching on gravel, made from a few freesound samples mixed and retimed to match the pace. It's a very bright, close-mic sound, with wide stereo spread. It should loop seamlessly. So this is a composite made from:60076__sinatra314__footsteps-in-gravel-loop109487__tomlija__11-footsteps-on-the-gravel213307__taira-komori__walking-on-the-earth. I've retimed them all to be roughly in synch, added a multitap delay to boost the numbers of feet and some eq to give more of an impression of space.

" well i don't have 12 s/h. I have 10. . . I would need a lot of sequenced gates to build that shift register. . . In this patch i use 4 s/h. (s/h or s&h is sample and hold. ).

This take has multiple repeats of the sound (a different take i have here provides just one repeat of the sound). If you pitch-shift this down about six steps and add a metal/plate/hall reverberation effect, it sounds remarkably like a sound you hear in the carbonite chamber scene in the empire strikes back :). This was recorded with a sony icd-st voice recorder held next to the glider, then noise removed with an audio tool, then normalized. I request but don't demand credit to me (richard alexander hall) for any use of this sound.

Operating my washing machine (front loader, brand: indesit). This reflect the full circle of a washing process from turning the control knob to the typical “clack” when the machine is finished and the look is once again released. All the intermediate steps like washing, spinning and so on, are shorten in time (otherwise this would be a 50min sound clip). But you can loop all those sounds very well. Sound of footsteps (hiking boots) in an artificial stone tunnel about 4 to 5 metres in diameter in brezzo di bedero (northern italy). The tunnel is part of the structures of the 'cadorna' defence line, dating back to wwi, and leads to an artillery emplacement in a cave. Sound of footsteps and crunching gravel under the soles, with a slight echo and reverberation from the cave environment. This is audio of just about the entire ride of the powell-hyde cable car line in san francisco, recorded on 08/26/2015. Late evening trip through the city. I recorded this while i was on the steps on the right side of the car, holding the recorder in one hand and my life in the other! tourists talking, the operator ringing the bells and using the brake levers, etc. Recorded with a tascam dr-70d, built in mics.
