A classic movie punch sound recreated by hitting a leather car seat with a cricket bat. Recorded using a rode k2 tube mic and a schoeps cmc6, driving the preamps hard and compressing the input, then heavily compressing a number of takes using analog-emulation plugins (including a fairchild 660) and running the mix through waves maxxbass. Then limiting some more and finally adding the swoosh of a riding crop and a non-linear reverb noise tail.

Similar to my popular 2016 recording. Many birds are audible, as well as distant dogs. For a filtered loop suitable for videos or games, check out the processed version of this sound, with the background noise greatly reduced. Recorded during the 2019 world series of birding competition in nj. Feel free to use in commercial projects. --------------------------two em172 mic capsules -> zoom h1 recorder.

Springtime in a rural indiana neighborhood. A pair of neumann km183 microphones connected by canare l-4e6s and neutrik connectors to a zoom f8 recorder. Gain set to 60db. No processing. Wind noise occasionally, but no overs. This would be a good file to experiment with highpass filtering to remove wind noise.

Over 5 minutes of background noise from a well-known new york city diner, including people talking, clanging plates and glasses and forks and knives and cups being cleared away by staff, and in the second half of the clip, radio ads playing faintly in the background. But crucially, no music is playing. This means you can either use this clean, or layer in your own rights-cleared music if you're using this in a film or whatever. Recorded in january 2019 with an iphone x — don't let the recording device scare you, it sounds pretty good and certainly fine for this kind of background noise. Use it in any way you like for any purpose. Update: i just uncovered a similar recording i made in 2016 at a different diner, and uploaded that here: https://freesound. Org/people/edlundart/sounds/515719/ pick whichever one you prefer, or use a combination of both!. Warmly, bard edlund, edlundart. Com.

I recorded this many years ago on an imac g3 in 2008, the sound was recorded using the imac headphone jack into my desktop pc at the times audio in. I ended up doing this as my dsl went down for several days and i managed to get netzero working. I then uploaded the video to youtube where it has received over 10 million views. Https://www. Youtube. Com/watch?v=gsnar6fruo0. In 2012 a wonderful poster was made by oona räisänen, if you want a technical breakdown of what's going on in my audio have a read. Http://www. Windytan.
