This is a sequence of bass notes created using vst instrument alchemy on preset dancetrance/ leads/ higher states. Run through ohm boys lfo delay and sequenced at 102bpm at a#3. Works well with my 'break away 102' breaks. The best way to loop this is to take the last two breaks of the sequence and loop those as the effects roll nicely into each other. I've left the ending part in if you want to let it fade out smoothly into your sequence as the bassline ends.

This standup bass was sampled using a direct pickup as well as stereo overhead mics for some room ambience. Articulations include a normal pizzicato, or finger plucked note; a stopped note as performed with the finger; a stopped note performed bartok style; and some miscellaneous sound effects: a slide by the hand down the strings, a slap on the strings, and a knock on the wooden body of the bass. For years i haven't uploaded any sounds except my news themes, (thanks to you for your nice comments and thousands of downloads)now i give you an impulse response i made to check how my mixes would sound on a typical living room audio setup (but listening with headphones). The chain: technics hifi-system, multi-cone speakers, audix reference microphone, focusrite preamps. To use it like intended, just load this file into a convolution plugin in your master insert. You'll hear your mix like sitting. . . Well. . . In my living room. It'll sound muffled to you, that's because i captured the ir and all the reflections with an omni-directional mic and i have thick curtains ;-dof course it can be used as a really, really nice and natural-sounding ambience ir, too. Use it as an aux-reverb).
