Hitting a finnish baseball in south park, oxford.

This is a 'epic' rolling-thunder with multiple strikes. It is a combination of the following freesound. Org sounds:thunder by netajthunder 01 by olliehahn12thunder 1 by yoyodaman234. The goal was to get some 'theater friendly' thunder version that has the low base rumbling and also some sharp/crispy parts.

Striking metal. I can't remember the context of this recording. The unwanted noise was tricky to remove.

In this series of recordings i strike many cook's safety matches, in a small plaster-boarded room. These sounds were recorded with a match pair of rode m5 small diaphragm condenser microphones, into a zoom h4n. These are the raw sound recording with not noise reduction, eq, or compression. These sounds are 100% free for all uses.

Striking a galvanized steel wildlife tunnel with a metal tire tool repeatedly, producing a ringing sound.

Rode nt4 -> maudio delta1010lt, capturing a lightning strike that made the walls of my house shake, and forced me to turn off my computer. The lightning occured ~167 meters away from the microphone, calculated from the time lapse between the initial dc spike and the start of audible strike. Clipped quite a bit, had the input slightly too high, but did not expect one to hit so close. A picture hanging on my wall shook violently when this one hit. This was captured at the end of session on 5_28_2006, same night as http://freesound. Iua. Upf. Edu/samplesviewsingle. Php?id=19283.

A thunderstorm formed near pécel, hungary on 13rd of july 2014 and thunder was heard. This s the loudest one. Recorded by sony stereo dictaphone.
