Hello all!i recorded this sample today, 10-11-2012 in la, ca, usa. I needed a radio tuning sample and i wasn't pleased with the ones i found, so i recorded one with my zoom h2!. I realized i actually didn't have a radio, so i went to a thrift store and bought one for $4. 34. It sounds perfect for what i need. This sample is in 44. 1khz, 24bit. Hi, i recorded this sound especially because i couldn't find any good quality keyboard typing sounds. I used my kit (zoom h5 and rode videomic pro) to capture the sound while my friend was typing. I used the microphone from 15-20 cm far from the soubject and the room was small (around 15sqm), so reverb wasn't an issue. Heard a barred owl calling in my backyard. Grabbed my zoom h4n with audio-technica at897 shotgun mic and started recording. Did some minor equalization to soften the higher frequencies and roll off the low end. Crickets are chirping in the background, a few other insects make some sounds. Soft droning of a couple planes flying by and vehicles from a highway about a mile away, but do not overpower the barred owl.
