I couldn't find any forest ambiance that included footstep sounds, so this is a clip of me traipsing through the woods for a few minutes.

My 1st recording with my marantz pmd661, with enhanced preamplifiers by oade brothers. I used my two matching stereo samson co2 microphones with the input level on 7. Recording made around 9pm at night on august 1st, 2014 in a small midwestern town. The chorus of cicadas and tree frogs is very steady on this one.

I needed a wall of crickets but could not find a decent one so i used some samples and multiplied them to make it sound like hundreds of crickets. Enjoy. Nice to fall asleep to, but the loop points could use some fixing-up.

A hillside above the croatian coastal town of brela, in the afternoon, featuring crickets, some quiet background traffic, and nothing much more. These recordings were done during my recent vacation in brela, croatia, with a zoom h2 set at 90° diffusion. This little thing was hiding in my window a few months ago.

Recording made at the window on the "hotel praia de lobos" right in the middle of vila do porto on santa maria island. There, in santa maria, the crickets are unstoppable!!.

There was an interesting ringing sound i couldn't pin down the location of which led me to make this recording. Ft. Frogs & insects, recorded with a tascam dr-05x.
