This sample was created by taping a razor blade to a contact microphone and allowing the blade to scrape against the edge of a record spinning on a turntable. The reverb was added in real time, so there's not a dry signal recording. Very reminiscent of tg's "hamburger lady" in some ways. Sounds like a human voice almost.
Vinyl start noise in a loop at 80 bpm. Recorded, edited and mastered with logic pro x. Can be easily used as a percussion line in a hip hop production.
A continuous blank record groove running almost 22 minutes in length. This is from the unused backside of a 1961 test pressing made for a commercial release on the mgm record label. Nothing is looped or enhanced in any way. The final 28 seconds of the file is the stylus riding in the lock groove near the label. For anyone curious about the vinyl source, a discogs page exists for it. Https://www. Discogs.
An emulation of the classic "rewind and stop" sound performed by djs to add tension before the drop. Made after tens of trials using fl studio's fruity scratcher on a sample i don't remember. Le: i'm happy this sample from 10 years ago helped so many people, cheers to all!. If you liked this sound you might also like my oriental song, check it out!https://soundcloud. The tail end of a song from an lp including vinyl crackles. Unprocessed raw audio from a turntable. A great sample for electronic music, hope people use it in interesting ways.
From a sample set made in 2003 using vinyl records on a motor-less (i. E. Hand driven) turntable. All sounds in this set are less than 1 sec long, so can be good for percussion hits, sfx, etc.
The result of a blending of a couple different sounds in figure53's qlab program made to sound like a violent needle rip on a record. Beefier than the common 'zipper' sound.
Made by me running my hand along the side of corrugated cardboard, sounds similar to a vinyl scratch. If you do use the sound in something consider linking it in the comments, i'd love to see it.
