The year of the roster began on january 28, 2017. The night before, january 27, as traditions dictate chinese family gather to have a great dinner and get lose with baijiu -chinese white liquor-. After dinner, a little tipsy, chinese went to the street and start firing all kind of pyrotechnic. Amazing spectacle -even been disastrous for the air you breathe for the next few days-. I recorded this firecracker with a zoom ii from the balcony of my 19th-floor apartment in beijing.

This short sound uses chinese yangqin, guzheng, and other outstanding plugins. It is a scene where you can dream and relax. Jemaa el-fnaa is one of the biggest squares in africa, and is one of the most vibrant places i have ever visited. Each time of day brings a very different energy, and one will find snake charmers, musicians, dancers and stands selling pretty anything you could think of. Although busy during the day, jemaa el-fna is swarmed with people at night and can quickly become overwhelming. This recording is from february, 2020, using a tascam dr-05x.

I recorded this sound at the standton bus station. The sound was recorded with a zoom h6. It was loud and noisy. All the busses were getting ready to leave. It was in the evening.

This is my first time ever recording ambiance, i used the tascam dr-40, please leave any notes and suggestions on how i can better make these ambient recordings. Crowded bus ride in madrid, spain, morning of a working day. Lots of sounds, as should be expected (bumps, machinery, beeps, some voices), but also a very peaceful and cordial sonic environment. Recorded at 48kh 24bit.
