I started world listening day off listening to cardigan town at night with the barn owls hissing. A long recording from a velux roof window onto an edirol r44 with rode ntg-1 mic in blimp. The owls are particularly active about 18-20minutes in!.

A busy, natural sound-scape of the midwest forest in early summer. Many of the birds you hear in this recording spend the winter 100s, perhaps thousands of miles to the south. Equipment: sound devices 702. Microphone: audiotechnica bp4025 stereo microphone. Enjoy.

The increasingly rare melody of the whipporwill. . . . Cricket frogs also. A wonderful summer soundscape, bringing back memories of days gone by.
