A windy night in nantes recorded with a roland r05 (in-built mic). Air conditioning system is running on the background. A small garden with vegetation is just in front of the recorder.

Trying out my new tascam dr-40. Easiest thing to test it on was the wind chimes outside my house. Just a simple recording of the wind chimes in action, with some crickets in the background and a nice fade out.

A recording of ambient noises in the night, recorded with a zoom h5 handy recorder. The left and right channels have been eq'd differently to give a wider stereo feel, and a reversed version of the recording has been layered on top of the original.

A wonderful typical mid-summer soundscape of cicadas, and some katydids recorded on the edge of a small town in illinois. Towards the end of the recording you will hear a very cool doppler-effect as the truck passes from right to left. Recorded about 8:00 at night with my zoom h4-n recorder using it's internal microphones. I had the volume level set fairly high -- 80 -- so you will probably also hear the constant hum of the various central air conditioning units. .

Rain in the evening in a calm suburb area. Taken from a window. Drops fall on a concrete and window-sill too. Window is on a ground floor. Taken by a special app recording to wav 44khz 16 bit mono wav file on a samsung s8500 wave with a special app that can record to looseless. The phone was put directly to the window pointing the mic outside the window. This is my first try to share some sound, hope you like it. I have 2 more and better rain sounds to come. There is no other sound than the rain itself. The files hasent been post-processed.

I stayed at my grandmother's place for a few days, where these creatures are heard every night, but no one ever saw them to be able to identify them. The crowd hasn't arrived, so the night clubs are very audible, lots of bass beats pounding. It's a summer night in the san diego gaslamp district. Recorded in stereo from high up in a hotel window. Some street sounds waft up as well. The other two in this series are different. Both have thick crowd noise. The no. 2 track has an angry crown cordoned off by the police.
